During our heat wave a few weeks ago, my husband and I thought we'd hop on some rental e-bikes in Sausalito and explore - we had 2 hours. “What lighthouse is that?” I wondered as we embarked on our adventure, pointing to the southwest tip of Marin Headlands. The next thing I knew we were at that very lighthouse: Point Bonita (the “world’s end”) where the entrance is challenging, parking is limited and the 0.5-mile walk is steep, precarious and includes a spooky walk through a hand-carved pillow basalt rock tunnel. . .oh boy! It was pure Weekend Warrior joy!
